It’s all about finding better ways to help manage your pain.

Eli Lilly and Co. says they are providing up to $52 million over five years to Purdue University as part of a collaboration to develop a better delivery of injectable medicines for reducing pain.  Basically, if you have to go to the doctor a lot to get shots, the researchers are looking for ways so you don’t have to get them as often.

Purdue says their researchers in science, engineering and veterinary medicine will work together and share their information with researchers at Lilly.

“Purdue has enjoyed a long history of engagement with Lilly. Now Lilly and Purdue University are entering into a new level of collaboration that will move us forward in areas core to both institutions,” said Purdue President Mitch Daniels.
